So it has been quite awhile since I have posted anything, I think almost 2 weeks. Well there has been many things happening in my life to keep me occupied. Yesterday was a good day for me because I received a phone call from Staci from Youth Villages (after trying to get a hold of them for 2 weeks) and I told her about my Praticum that I need to complete in order to graduate, and she is going to discuss with the director of the internship program and see if I am suitable or eligible for the program. I will know something by Monday, so please keep me in your prayers because this is the only paid internship that is offered and I need to start saving since I will be graduating in August.
Last weekend I went to Chat-Town to visit my older sister Amber, her husband Travis, and my adorable little nephew Jacks. I had a blast babysitting Jacks, he is definitely a handful, I do not see how Amber keeps up with him, but that is one smart kid (he must get it from his Aunt D). Something that made my weekend, was hearing him say Aunt D all weekend, my face just lit up knowing that he knew who I was because I don't get to see him as much as everyone else since I'm in Knoxville. I will post the few pictures I took over the weekend, and try to see if there is some way to get the video I took on my phone on here, it is all of his animal sounds, and his new face (happy face). I was also one of the first people to know that Amber is pregnant with another little boy! Oh no, we are going to have 2 boys now! Thanks Amber for letting me come and stay with yall, I had a fun time.
A couple days ago, my dad sent me an e-mail about an artist by the name of Joey Mollard (lead singer and guitarist of Badfinger). He is a friend of a friend and is thinking about moving to TN. Well the main point of mentioning this is that he knows the Beatles and has worked with them AND still talks to Paul! How awesome is that. My dad is going to let me know when the next time this guy is in town and then I will get to sit down and listen to his stories of working with the Beatles, that is better than reading a book, to actually get the chance to sit down and talk to someone who actually knows them and has worked with them is awesome in itself! So I will keep everyone posted on my star struck situation. :) Thanks dad, for being so awesome!
Other things in my life have just dealt with school and work. I have picked up many hours to save up for my Spring Break trip in 2 weeks! And I have had a few tests in the past couple weeks. Life has just been steady for me, and pieces are starting to form together. This chapter in my life is almost completed, while at one end it is terrifying, at the other end it is exciting! I never thought I would make it through college in 4 years, it seemed endless to me, but the end is finally here and it is one of the greatest accomplishments in my life. Sure I get called a weirdo for my love for school and studying, but it's getting me somewhere in life and I'm doing what I want to do and making my own decisions. The future paths that lie ahead of me are all the more reason to keep progressing further and don't let anyone get in my way. My social life may take some bumps and bruises, but that will always be there, and I will know who my true friends are when I look around and see who is still by my side through my trials and tribulations.
Well that is about it, just 2 more weeks til I get to be laying out in the sun on the beach! I am so excited, and my little sister Heather will be joining me along with the boys (thank God she will be there to keep me sane lol).
Peace and Love,
Danielle (Danni)
PS.. Please, if you get the chance, watch the Beatles Anthologies 1-8. They are amazing and have so much history about the Beatles and the trends they started. And you have to watch all 8!
And also, check out Landon Pigg, and his debut song "Coffee Shop" it is the sweetest love song.
