New Quote book

So I just got this new journal, but instead of journaling in it since I do that on here, I decided to write down songs that I hear and fall in love with, quotes that I read so I do not forget the wisdom, and just bands and artists I should not forget. I will go ahead and start the list I have going.

Currently I listen to the music channel at work so when I here a song I immediately write it down, and I have been doing a lot of reading lately, just finished 2 Autobiographies! Eric Clapton's and Pattie Boyd's they are awesome! I am now working on "Here, There and Everywhere" by Geoff Emerick, I started it a couple years ago and now I have picked it up and it is exciting to read behind the music things on The Beatles.

Here is the List:

  • Eric Clapton: "Music will always find its way to us, with or without business, politics, religion, or any other BS attached. Music survives everything and like God, it is always present. It needs no help, and suffers no hinderance. It has always found me, and with God's blessing and permission, it always will." Clapton Autobiography
  • Susan Tedeschi/ Buddy Guy: "Too Many Tears"
  • Etta James: "At Last"
  • Little Walter: "Bad Hours"
  • Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown: "The Drifter" (I wrote this song down for Brian)
  • Sam Cooke: "A Change is Gonna Come"
  • Albert Collins: "Cold, Cold Feeling"
  • Hank Ballard/ The Midnighters: "Work with me Annie"
  • Buddy Guy: "The Things I used to do"
  • Al Green: "Tired of Being Alone"
  • Cat Stevens: "Wild World"
  • The Allman Brothers: "Midnight Rider"
  • Duke Robillad: "I Wanna Hug You, Kiss You, Squeeze You"
  • The Allman Brothers: "Statesboro Blues"
  • Blind Faith: "Had to Cry Today"
  • Stevie Ray Vaughan/ Double Trouble: "The Sky is Crying"
  • The Beatles: "In the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make." The End
  • John Lennon: "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans.."
  • The Band: "Don't Do It"
  • The Beatles: "Something" and "Strawberry Fields Forever (Take 1)"
That is what I have so far and I am having a blast doing this! I hope everyone gets a chance to check out these songs. I love spreading music, love and wisdom!

Take care!

I've got the blues! (In a good way)

So I have been working for my dad and I think it is going well, just business has been slow and steady, but that always wins the race right? Well things are good there.

There is a blues and jazz festival coming up this weekend in Nashville in Riverfront Park that I will be helping out my boys. The Music City Blues Jam is selecting some regulars to play in a set for 45 minutes. I went to the rehearsal on Tuesday and I think they are going to sound awesome! My job will just to be everything goes according to schedule and people get on and off stage in an appropriate timely manner. So come out and support us! Brian, my boyfriend, will be playing in it and he is awesome and I think needs more people to tell him that so he can believe it himself! You can go to my youtube account under DeeW1185 and I put a video up of him playing "Red House" by Jimi Hendrix. Go check it out!

Other than preparing for the festival I have just been working on my Arbonne business. Yes, I now sell Arbonne and if you are interested in buying any products from me or want to do a party I can set that up with you. Let me know! Just busy busy is my life but I love it that way. Lucy is doing great and is getting bigger day by day and she is a smart puppy.

I will try to get pictures up this week of concerts and Lucy and the festival this weekend.

Peace and love,
