The future is blurry but I'm still living life!

So I am at a point of confusion in my life. Seems almost as if I am living in limbo at the moment. I am sure to get out of this part of my life soon, but it is not so fun. The job that I obtain currently has become weary and I'm once again on the hunt! Please do keep me in your prayers! I have had a few leads as to what to dive into, but no responses just yet. My job is safe atleast until the end of the year, but if you know me and how I work and worry then you know I'm on the prowl and not stopping.

Other than the job thing, life is good and I am very happy. I live with a man who treats me with respect, comforts me, cooks for me, always tells me how he is lucy to have me and how happy I make him. There is so much love in our little townhouse it is about to explode! Lucy is great and she is fully healed from her leg accident 3 months ago and I have 1 more month of payment and then that Credit Card will be paid off! Yay!

My dad's birthday is today and I got him a barbeque tool kit which is pretty cool! Brian's birthday is tomorrow and I have already given him most of his gifts to include, a dolly (so he doesn't kill his back carrying amps to jams), strings for his guitar (David Gilmour style), and a book about David Gilmour's black strat (if you can't tell David Gilmour is his idol). I also got him a fender brown leather strap for his guitar since his is to pieces. We will be celebrating his 27th birthday at the Blues Jam tomorrow night so that should be fun! I made his favorite cake too yellow cake with chocolate iceing yum!

Thanksgiving is coming up which is also my birthday so I am excited to have my family and friends come over for a Thanksgiving dinner at my townhouse and all sit down and eat together. It is the best birthday present I could ask for. I just wish my dad and older sister could be there as well, but that would take a miracle to get all of my immediate family in one room. Maybe someday!

That is all I have to spill about me. I'm sure I will be updating later on the progress of my job hunt.
Enjoy some new pictures of Lucy :)

New Quote book

So I just got this new journal, but instead of journaling in it since I do that on here, I decided to write down songs that I hear and fall in love with, quotes that I read so I do not forget the wisdom, and just bands and artists I should not forget. I will go ahead and start the list I have going.

Currently I listen to the music channel at work so when I here a song I immediately write it down, and I have been doing a lot of reading lately, just finished 2 Autobiographies! Eric Clapton's and Pattie Boyd's they are awesome! I am now working on "Here, There and Everywhere" by Geoff Emerick, I started it a couple years ago and now I have picked it up and it is exciting to read behind the music things on The Beatles.

Here is the List:

  • Eric Clapton: "Music will always find its way to us, with or without business, politics, religion, or any other BS attached. Music survives everything and like God, it is always present. It needs no help, and suffers no hinderance. It has always found me, and with God's blessing and permission, it always will." Clapton Autobiography
  • Susan Tedeschi/ Buddy Guy: "Too Many Tears"
  • Etta James: "At Last"
  • Little Walter: "Bad Hours"
  • Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown: "The Drifter" (I wrote this song down for Brian)
  • Sam Cooke: "A Change is Gonna Come"
  • Albert Collins: "Cold, Cold Feeling"
  • Hank Ballard/ The Midnighters: "Work with me Annie"
  • Buddy Guy: "The Things I used to do"
  • Al Green: "Tired of Being Alone"
  • Cat Stevens: "Wild World"
  • The Allman Brothers: "Midnight Rider"
  • Duke Robillad: "I Wanna Hug You, Kiss You, Squeeze You"
  • The Allman Brothers: "Statesboro Blues"
  • Blind Faith: "Had to Cry Today"
  • Stevie Ray Vaughan/ Double Trouble: "The Sky is Crying"
  • The Beatles: "In the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make." The End
  • John Lennon: "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans.."
  • The Band: "Don't Do It"
  • The Beatles: "Something" and "Strawberry Fields Forever (Take 1)"
That is what I have so far and I am having a blast doing this! I hope everyone gets a chance to check out these songs. I love spreading music, love and wisdom!

Take care!
Peace and love,

Danni ♥

I've got the blues! (In a good way)

So I have been working for my dad and I think it is going well, just business has been slow and steady, but that always wins the race right? Well things are good there.

There is a blues and jazz festival coming up this weekend in Nashville in Riverfront Park that I will be helping out my boys. The Music City Blues Jam is selecting some regulars to play in a set for 45 minutes. I went to the rehearsal on Tuesday and I think they are going to sound awesome! My job will just to be everything goes according to schedule and people get on and off stage in an appropriate timely manner. So come out and support us! Brian, my boyfriend, will be playing in it and he is awesome and I think needs more people to tell him that so he can believe it himself! You can go to my youtube account under DeeW1185 and I put a video up of him playing "Red House" by Jimi Hendrix. Go check it out!

Other than preparing for the festival I have just been working on my Arbonne business. Yes, I now sell Arbonne and if you are interested in buying any products from me or want to do a party I can set that up with you. Let me know! Just busy busy is my life but I love it that way. Lucy is doing great and is getting bigger day by day and she is a smart puppy.

I will try to get pictures up this week of concerts and Lucy and the festival this weekend.

Peace and love,
Danni <3

Blackbird Fly!

Blackbird singing in the dead of night

Take these broken wings and learn to fly.

All your life

You were only waiting for this moment to arise.

Blackbird singing in the dead of night

Take these sunken eyes and learn to see.

All your life

You were only waiting for this moment to be free.

Blackbird fly, Blackbird fly Into the light of the dark black night.

Blackbird fly, Blackbird fly Into the light of the dark black night.

Blackbird singing in the dead of night

Take these broken wings and learn to fly.

All your life

You were only waiting for this moment to arise

You were only waiting for this moment to arise

You were only waiting for this moment to arise

My lyrics for the week, went to Savannah GA for the weekend and it is absolutely beautiful there! Plus they have a beach, could not get any better.

Brian and I celebrated our 6 months last Tuesday at the Melting Pot which was very yummy and then went to the Counting Crows concert that was phenomenal! I will have to post pictures and videos from my events last week and weekend because I got my camera working again!

But there is some bad news that comes along with it, my dog chewed through the charger that took 3 months to find! Oh well I will probably get a new camera soon b/c this one I have is not cutting it!

Until then, I have no more news until I get the pictures and videos up and those are worth a thousand words! :)

Peace and Love,

Time flies when you're having fun!

So I figured I would type up a little update on the last year of my life, since it has been about a year since I have typed up anything!

I did eventually find a job since my last blog, and I started on October 20th. I worked there for about 10 months and then quit. I am not currently working for my dad at Auto Art South as his administrative assistant, mainly to learn about his business. We will see where this takes me, but it's something new and I am always ready for a change!

I have fallen in love with an awesome guy, I met him in February (really January 1st, but he doesn't remember) and we hit it off amazingly! Yesterday was actually our 6 months and that is a record for me! We celebrated by going to the Melting Pot (yum!) and then to a concert featuring Michael Franti/ Spearhead, Augustana, and Counting Crows. The concert was absolutely amazing!

I have been going to concerts like crazy this summer! I have been to see a few local bands as usual and big concerts were Elton John and Billy Joel, Fleetmac, to name a few. So I am still in the music scene although I am poor I spend my money on what makes me happy, which is music!

Speaking of music! I didn't mention that I met my boyfriend at the Blues Jam that I now go to every Wednesday at Dugger's (Murfreesboro) and Thursday at Beer Sellar (Nashville) both at 9PM-12AM. I now run the list at the Nashville blues jam and I have a blast doing it, plus I meet some pretty interesting musicians doing it!

I also now have moved out of my dad's house to a townhouse in Nashville and have an adorable golden retriever named Lucy Diamond Warner (wonder how I thought of that name). I am happy in Nashville and life could not get much better! :)

I had the amazing opportunity to travel to Destin, FL for a summer vacation for 5 days with my boyfriend. It was nice to just relax on the beach, see my best friend, and just be in my happy place. I also have the opportunity to travel to Savannah, GA this weekend to visit some friends and go to the beach there, should be a great time!

That is pretty much a summary of what I have been up to for the past year! I think it's a lot of change, but I like it that way! No lyrics to leave you with on this post, but I am going to try and update weekly on random updates and info I think everyone should know!

Here is a pic of me and my new puppy!

Peace and Love as always,
Danni
